In 1999 while becoming a CISSP, Mr. Afifi put the site together in an effort to help promote the CISSP Certification, Information Security awareness and share knowledge and communication amongst certified information system security professionals and to help information security professionals who are seeking to become CISSPs. Through the years, Mr. Afifi has mentored more than 3000 CISSPs and helped many others in becoming CISSPs. 

Mr. Afifi is a certified (ISC)˛ master CISSP instructor and has taught the CISSP review seminars and subject matter for global organizations and government agencies within the US and internationally.  Mr. Afifi focuses on Identity Management, Access Management and Threat Management with specialization in Infrastructure Security, risk assessments, information security compliance and policies, role-based authorization methodologies, security attack pathologies and other security tools and authentication methods such as smart tokens and biometrics authentication. Mr. Afifi holds a Masters of Science degree in Network Security and frequently lectures on design and implementation of information security infrastructure, identity management, threat management and access management including security monitoring systems, directory services and cyber security . His experience includes, providing services to a variety of industries and global enterprises in information security best practices and methodologies, e-business infrastructure security design and implementation, threat management design and implementation and identity management. Mr. Afifi has served in the capacity of Chief Security Officer for fortune 500 organization and has mentored security professionals serving organization such as the U.S. National security Agency (NSA), Microsoft, Cisco and others in wide variety of industries.
